Bridges to Career Success is an innovative, virtual event designed to connect skilled newcomers with mentors, employers, and community organizations.

  • For employers, it’s your chance to meet internationally-trained professionals coming to Canada and newcomers already here.
  • For Community partners, it’s an opportunity to share information about your community and the services you offer to newcomers.

Event Audience

Participants will be skilled newcomers with a Permanent Resident status – this includes those who are yet to arrive and those who are already in Canada. Participants will be from across Canada, although a higher number of them is expected to be in Ontario.

Exhibitor Expectations:

  • Post at least 10 job openings, both immediate and future opportunities (for employers only)
  • Have at least 2 representatives manning the booth at any given time
  • Have technology (i.e. computer and internet access) available to engage with participants during the event (i.e. written and verbal chat)
  • Have a follow-up strategy for the online interactions
  •  Link(s) to employer application tracking system welcome but not mandatory (for employers only)

Introduction to the virtual platform

The virtual platform will allows you to set up and customize your own booth. Exhibitors are able to engage with participants via text or video.

Employers can also post job vacancies, review resumes and quickly identify suitable candidates using various search criteria.
